[edit] Using Nature-Inspired Design to Foster Workplace Wellness
The Wellness and Biophilia Symposium took place on 6 and 7 June 2019 at BRE Watford. It coincided with the launch of BRE’s Biophilic Office, a research project that will gather evidence about the impacts of nature-inspired design and technology on people and business.
The symposium addressed questions such as:
- How can nature-inspired design foster office occupant wellness?
- What are the key interventions that can capitalise on the return on investment in an office refurbishment?
The immersive and interactive two-day event also included:
- An array of speakers on biophilic design and the latest research.
- Site tours to ‘biophilic’ themed satellite projects and showcases in the nearby Greater London area.
- A networking experience with like-minded health and wellbeing experts, building system and technology experts, real estate and HR professionals from around the world.
- Conference sessions.
- Workshops.
- Demonstrations of biophilic and wellness-related innovations, products and services.
